Arlington, Va. (April 27, 2011) - An airplane makes it's approach to Washington's Reagan National Airport, completing the scene at the Pentagon's Sept. 11, 2001 Memorial.

The Pentagon Memorial was dedicated on Sept. 11, 2008, the seventh anniversary of the attacks.

To honor the 184 victims, the memorial is made up of 184 benches -- each with a victims name -- arranged according to the victim's ages, arranged by year of birth.

Each bench is engraved with the name of a victim. If the person was killed inside the pentagon, their bench faces out of the Pentagon, while those killed on the American Airlines Flight 77 face towards the pentagon and are arranged on the flight path.

It was designed by Julie Beckman and Keith Kaseman of the architectural firm of Kaseman Beckman Advanced Strategies after a design competition.
